What is sur?¶
sur is the subtle user repository and a manager for sublets in a rubygems like fashion.
The main goal of sur is to help the user managing sublets and to have a central point where new sublets can be found. Addionally sur has some capabilities to create and test sublets.
sur consists of two parts which are designed to work with each other:

- Full fledged manager to handle sublets
- Conains both client and a server (see sur, surserver)
- Specification for meta information
- Fully featured rdoc
Where to start?¶
If you are new to sur you should give the quickstart a try. Also you can find install instructions here or in the INSTALL file.
Getting sur¶
Currently there is no stable version of sur, but you can check out the latest version from the Mercurial repository or download the recent tip. It can be viewed via the repository browser.
hg clone http://hg.subtle.de/sur
Keep in mind that the version in the repository is under heavily development and may or may not work.
